The Sankt-Pauli-Police-Department from Hamburg
“Park Avenue” was voted
Best New Magazine by
the Lead Academy in Germany upon
its release. This year, on April 1st,
the new winners have been awarded.
In honor of this occasion,
ANKE DEGENHARD, prominent
Hanseatic member of the
Lead Academy, will share her
personal Hamburg favorites.

Travel in style with our travel diary

Anke Degenhard & Michael Drinkhahn are the successful couple
behind CROSSOVER. How do you cross over in Hamburg?

We connect classic marketing knowhow with our worldwide network
in all art fields.

As the prior Director of Photography of leading magazines, such
as “Park Avenue”, you must have a Leading Spot in Hamburg?

Of course, a few: for lunch the Japanese fusion food restaurant
Henssler & Henssler, for dinner the Italien restaurants L’Europeo and
Il Morelino. For breakfast or a quick snack the Mars Bar.
For shopping: Olaf Thomas Interieur. When I am in Hamburg, I try to
go there every Saturday, just to sneak about. Beside Moss in
New York, there is no better shop in the world for interieur. And D`Or,
a mix of high class second hand fashion, jewellery and antiques.

What is your secret recipe for having a good time
in the infamous drizzle weather of Hamburg?

“I have a lot of hats.”

Your piece of advice to come out strengthened
from the current crisis?

Believe in yourself and try to see it like an adventure.

The worst “Do-Not’s” in your favorite city Hamburg?

So my favorite city is still New York, where I have lived for many
years. But regarding Hamburg: I hate that I can’t walk my dogs around
the Alster without having them on the leash. Believe it or not, if you get
caught by the police they charge you up to € 80.
